PAC Information
PAC Membership
Our PAC consists of 16 elected members who are all parents/cargivers at École Van Belleghem. New members-at-large are voted in at our Annual General Meeting which is always held on the first Wednesday of May. Each member is responsible for attending monthly meetings, participating in discussions, and voting on motions. Though not mandatory, one of the most rewarding parts of being a PAC member is helping out with PAC's important initiatives. There are four executive positions that are filled by members-at-large - Chair, Vice-Chair ( 2 Co-Vice-Chairs this year), Treasurer, and Secretary. These positions are held for 2-year terms. Each position comes with its own roles and responsibilities.

Functions of the PAC
The three main functions of PAC are: fundraising, supporting school initiatives and building an inclusive school community.
PAC collaborates with parents, school staff, trustees and community members.
We do this by:
• Promoting community interest, understanding and involvement in the school.
• Representing the priorities and concerns of parents/caregivers.
• Participating in the development of activities which:
- enhance the learning of both children and parents
- foster diversity and inclusion
- create a safe neighbourhood
• Being accountable to the school and community for PAC's involvement, activities, expenditures, and recommendations.
• Communicating regularly through email, social media and your child's backpack about our:
-
annual fundraisers
-
school initiatives
-
community events
